help with my ipod touch

hey. i got an ipod touch for christmas and as soon as i got it i jailbroke it. i started to download games and apps for it. it was working fine for a couple of days until today when i tryed to download bsd subsystem so i can run some other app that i wanted to download. while downloading i got a messege and i dont remember exactly what it said but it was some error with reading main script or something. i ignored it and i tryed to download a theme and got the same messege. then my ipod froze, it went to the homescreen i though i might have clicked on the home botton but then when trying to click on an app the ipod didnt respond, then after a few seconds the little round thing on the middle of the screen that signals that the ipod is working or thinking what ever that is came up. and it reloaded the home screen the ipod touch still didnt respond to anything though, i tryed turning it off, and it wouldn't let me. and the round thing kept comming up every about 20 seconds. i tryed connecting it to itunes but a message came up in itunes saying that it is unable to connect to the ipod. then i trying using win scp and it wasent able to connect either. the home screen mean whille kepts reloading every 20 seconds or so. i restarted the ipod by pressing the home button and the sleep button and that actually did restart it but the same problem still occurs. i tryed doing a force restore by pressing he home botton and the sleep botton and waiting for the apple logo to appear and then letting go of the sleep button and keep on pressing the home button until the connect to itunes picture appears. but that doesnt happen, the ipod just takes a long time to load and takes me to the home screen......please HELP ME!!!
i really like my ipod and my parents would be pissed if they found out i broke it!! since i just got it like 2 days ago!
do you have any sugestions as to what i can do to fix the problem

Oh boy, that doesn't sound like fun. Try doing a force restore while you are connected to your computer, with any luck, it might recognize your ipod, and then you could restore it. Basically, they only way of really fixing things is to get your computer to recognize your ipod and then restoring it back to factory settings.

I had similar problems with my ipod when I was jailbreaking it.... fortunately after powering it on and off, repeatedly, I was able to restore it in iTunes.
